Google Online Marketing Challenge is one of the world\'s largest competition for universities, and an annual exercise in the field of internet marketing. It allows students to gain practical experience in the field of online advertising and campaigns using Google AdWords advertising system. Each team consists of 3 to 6 students working under the guidance of supervisor - teacher from the school they represent.

"The success of advertising campaigns on the Internet depends on many factors. Skilful AdWords campaign management is primarily understanding of consumers, setting the right goals, experimentation and continuous optimisation" - emphasised the team supervisor, Dr. Tymoteusz Doligalski.

In previous editions of the competition, Warsaw School of Economics teams won with other European teams three times. This year, for the first time the team received the "Global Winner" title. "The series of Warsaw School of Economics team victories shows that the formal economic education, including a certain amount of theory and quantitative subjects, prepares for solving business problems. The composition of this year\'s team confirms it: two persons studied management, three the quantitative methods in economics and information systems. One of the students also studied finance and accounting" - noted Dr. Doligalski.

Global Winner of Google Online Marketing Challenge from Warsaw School of Economics will visit Google headquarters in Mountain View, California; each team member will also receive a laptop computer and other prizes.
